Lynn and Colin (and their four sons) immigrated to Canada in September 2009 from the United Kingdom.

During the long process of immigration (five years to be exact!), and the time spent living in Canada so far, many lessons have been learnt.

We have created this web site so as to help anyone who is in the process of immigration to Canada, or in the early stages of considering such a move. Also there will be lots of information to be found on what to do once you arrive.

The main focus of this site will be for people immigrating to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, particularly Kelowna. (Please also take a look at www.okanaganforum.com this is a forum for the Okanagan valley that we have been members of for the past three years, it has been most helpful to us with our immigration process and settlement into Kelowna ).

For those of you that do not know Kelowna, it is the largest city located in the Okanagan valley with a population of about one hundred and ten thousand people. Kelowna has excellent shopping, restaurants, cinemas, bowling, skiing, beaches etc; all that you would expect for your new life in Canada! Kelowna also has the huge advantage of having its own international airport and university, the University of British Columbia (UBCO).
